I went to Caribana Festival this year, too.
Last year, I got a good spot to see all the parade, but I didn’t this year.
I had to walk all the way to see it on hot day.
I am posting some pictures that I took though. I stayed for a while after the parade was done and watched people enjoy their getting together. I felt I was in the middle of their community. Nobody seemed to care about my existence sitting under a tree.
I could forget where I was for a while and relaxed and felt like being in a foreign country. Caribana Festival is always giving me good impression.

You are right. I’m too lazy to write more funny stories related cultural difference or my own experience. Did you check my cooking video blog?
My time is limited, so these days I’m so interested in posting cooking videos on YouTube that I can’t find time to post a story on this blog. My “100 stories” is not done yet. So far I think about 70 stories have been posted. I will have to keep posting more about 30 stories to finish my mission. : )
