Freedom Festival in Toronto,2007

I went to see “Freedom festival” yesterday on May 5. I was very surprised to see it was for people smoking marijuana. The police didn’t bother them, but watched them from distance.

Some bands were playing and singing music. Some people were dancing very fast while the musicians were performing their music on the stage.
Some young people were wearing unique costume, Mohawk hair style, tattoos, smoking marijuana, and piercing on their body! They were totally celebrating the event without any interruption.

Interestingly, on the corner, some people were selling marijuana seeds for 5 for 20 dollars.

What a free country I’m living in now. I felt lots of freedom even though I don’t smoke marijuana.

    That’s right.
Canada is a cool country! Except for one thing. wha wha?

How come they are very strict about alcohol? In America or Korea, you can buy beer at any grocery store, but here in Toronto, we can get beer only at LCBO, liquor store.
I would like to say, “come on! let me buy some booze! I’m old enough to control myself”

Haha that was a funny post. Love the slam dance/mosh pit video. Yeah I guess it is kinda free here in Canada. Conversely in LA, an even more peacefull event ended with riot police firing rubber bullets and tear gas into a crowd, including small children. Yeah we seem to be doing pretty good here still.
