Mommy mommy

I received e-mail this morning from my mother’s ESL teacher, Roseanna, in L.A. She thanked me for my e-mail that expressed my appreciation for the party she threw for my mother a couple of days ago.

It was my mother’s birthday a few days ago. When she called me, she was very excited to talk about the birthday party.

“My teacher brought a hu~~ge cake for me and had it shared with all classmates. You know how big it was? I could bring the leftover, a piece of it after sharing it with all my classmates. And the teacher asked my classmates to give me good wishes in their own languages!”

I said,“Good! It’s very nice of her”

Then she talked about the main reason for calling me. “I brought her e-mail address, so you will thank her on behalf of me” I thought, “oh, my, again!” It was not the first time for me to write a thank note to her ESL teacher that I had never met. I did it last year sometime to another teacher, too.

Sometimes, she is like a cute spoiled child.
When she has good music, she makes my sister call me and turn on the music loudly so that I could hear it at the same time I talk. Interestingly, most of her favorite music is not Korean popular songs but French chansons from the 70s or Italian Canzonets. Last time I was talking to my sister, my mother was turning up and up until my sister couldn’t hear my voice. Eventually, it made my sister get tired of it, “Enough enough, that’s enough please!” I laughed double when I heard my sister’s complaints.

    haha,
I don’t think I can find a way to distract her from me as long as we get together. If she knows I’m coming, she will look forward to seeing me with so many plans that we should do together. : )

Usually we get along for a few days, but later she gets on my nerves.

Maybe you should buy her WoW so she can play with Ha yan’s mom. that way you can distract her by mentioning the game when she starts to drive you nuts. Hey mom what’s that over there? I think that’s an epic magic flute of dark warding..magic..thing. Ohhh!! I must have it! Write a letter to it for me!!

Cool that your mom is not afraid to go back to school at her age, and that she wants to study English.

    She sounds cute!
