Korean food fans

Here is my mini interview with Brigitte and a photo of baechu doenjangguk (cabbage soup with fermented soy bean paste) that she made. ya ya ya! I have an elementary student fan! : ) She can cook Korean doenjangguk! When I was her age, I also cooked a lot for my family. I never thought I was too young to cook! She reminds me of myself.

What is your name and where do you live?
My name is Brigitte Papadakis and I live in Montreal,Canada!

What do you do and how many family members do you have ?
I am an elementary school student going to High School next year and I live with my dad.

How often do you cook Korean food following my recipes?
I cook Korean food every weekend because I don’t have time on other days.

What are your favorite Korean dishes? Choose 3, please!
Thats  hard to choose only 3, but I think I would have to say yachaejeon, gimbap, and jabchae.

What’s your best Korean dish, the one that everybody compliments you on when you make it?
A lot of people compliment me on my  Baechu doenjang guk.

    Hey Brigitte, I live in Montreal too so since you posted a comment once on the Sujunggwa recipe, I was wondering if you were able to find dried persimmon somewhere in Montreal, I’ve been searching for a long time with unfortunately no results. I wanted also to ask you where do you find the most suitable ingredients for Maangchi’s recipes, I tried Chinatown but there’s many korean ingredients that I don’t find over there. Thanks in advance

      Hey Roy!I’m not so sure about the dried persimmons,I usually make only the tea part without the juice,lol!However there is this Krean store on decarie near sherbrooke.You could probably search it on google maps.I find everything I need there so you could go there!You could maybe even find dried persimmons there!Good luck!
