This week our Korean food fan is Kayla Merten from Provo, Utah! The first Korean food she tasted was bulgogi and kimchi when she was 19. She’s been interested in Korean food ever since, and now she makes all kinds of Korean dishes 3 to 5 days a week! She says, “Everyone loves my kimchi!”

Yes, her kimchi looks very delicious and her tteokgalbi, and yangnyeomtongdak, too. I should imitate her hairstyle and wear that kind of headband next time I make my kimchi, or maybe in a video!

The first time I ate Korean food was when I was 19 years old. I went out to lunch with my boyfriend (now husband) who lived in Korea for two years. He wanted to show me the food he loved. I am pretty sure I had beef bulgogi that day. I remember that was the first time I ever tried kimchi!

I cook Korean food 3-5 days a week. So far I have only used Maangchi’s recipes. My goal is to cook as many as I can on the website!

What are your 3 favorite Korean dishes?
