Here is my mini interview with Suzanne and the photos and videos of Korean dishes that she made.
1. What is your name and where do you live?
My real name is Suzanne Sutherland but my names on the internet are korea4me and Mrs Hwang. Currently I live in the Scottish Highlands in a small place called Grantown-on-Spey
My graduation day July 22nd, 2009 with my lovely daughter, Muriel
2. What do you do and how many family members do you have ?
I graduated from Sheffield University in the UK in July 2009 with a BA Hons in Korean Studies. It was a dream come true! Right now I’m taking life a bit easy. I am very tired after four years of university crazy life so for now I am enjoying spending time with my kids and making them Korean food! But I am planning to go back to Korea next year to teach English. I have four children, 3 boys and 1 girl: Duncan (22 years old), Donald (21 years old), Chris (18 years old) and Muriel (14 years old).

3. How often do you cook Korean food following my recipes?
We have Korean food night every Monday night!
4. What are your favorite Korean dishes? Choose 3, please!
Oh boy, my favourite Korean dishes? That’s a tough one! Hmmm, bibimbap, Doenjang jjigae and Soondoobu jjigae, but I love most Korean dishes especially when I’m eating them with a good looking Korean guy. ;-)
Myulchi bokkeum (dried anchovy side dish)
gamjachae bokkeum (potato side dish)
Sigeumchi namul (spinach side dish)
5. What’s your best Korean dish, the one that everybody compliments you on when you make it?
Bulgogi-topped rice (불고기 덮밥)
Suzanne’s Korean meal table setting
Wow.. u made all those?? Looking good!! Shame on me.. i always choose easy recipes :P
Hi Sriwanti, sorry to be so late in replying to your message. I’ve had a very eventful year so I haven’t been to my fan page very often. I’m now living and working in Korea so I can eat Korean food everyday! What sort of Korean food do you like to make?
Sriwanti, yes, Suzanne is such a great cook. She makes Korean food like a Korean housewife.
Suzanne has certainly made our Monday evenings special,I am enjoying exploring the many tastes of Korea with the family and it makes a change to be photographing her dishes which are not whizzing past at 90 MPH (see my website for my unusual photos of Scotland)
Well done Suzanne – and yes folks, it all tastes jolly good too! :)
Hehehe, thanks girlfriend ;-)
Wow! It’s looks more delicious than my foods. Although I am Korean. Haha.
Thank you for your wonderful compliment ^__^
That table setting looks awesome! Do you have trouble getting your Korean groceries where you live?
I’ve been to Scotland this summer and it’s really beautiful!
Hi Reinier, yes I do have trouble getting Korean groceries way up here in the Scottish Highlands. But I stocked up on certain items before I left Sheffield (there were many good Asian shops including one that specialised in Korean food). And I also have good Korean friends who have suppled me with foodstuffs and I’ve made friends with the lady who owns the oriental supply shop in Inverness! But, of course, there are still some things that I find very difficult to find.
Did you get this far north on your travels to Scotland this summer? The weather is really changing now!
Hi Suzanne, we didn’t go far up north, we ended up in edinburgh. I thought that city was nice. My in laws just did a B&B tour of scotland and they had a great time.
A BA. Hon in Korean studies? That’s awesome! Congratulations =)
Thank you, Ariel ^__^
