2. What do you do and how many family members do you have ?

I graduated from Sheffield University in the UK in July 2009 with a BA Hons in Korean Studies. It was a dream come true! Right now I’m taking life a bit easy. I am very tired after four years of university crazy life so for now I am enjoying spending time with my kids and making them Korean food! But I am planning to go back to Korea next year to teach English. I have four children, 3 boys and 1 girl: Duncan (22 years old), Donald (21 years old), Chris (18 years old) and Muriel (14 years old).

3. How often do you cook Korean food following my recipes?

We have Korean food night every Monday night!

4. What are your favorite Korean dishes? Choose 3, please!

Oh boy, my favourite Korean dishes? That’s a tough one! Hmmm, bibimbap, Doenjang jjigae and Soondoobu jjigae, but I love most Korean dishes especially when I’m eating them with a good looking Korean guy. ;-)

Suzanne has certainly made our Monday evenings special,I am enjoying exploring the many tastes of Korea with the family and it makes a change to be photographing her dishes which are not whizzing past at 90 MPH (see my website for my unusual photos of Scotland)

Wow! It’s looks more delicious than my foods. Although I am Korean. Haha.

That table setting looks awesome! Do you have trouble getting your Korean groceries where you live?
I’ve been to Scotland this summer and it’s really beautiful!

Hi Reinier, yes I do have trouble getting Korean groceries way up here in the Scottish Highlands. But I stocked up on certain items before I left Sheffield (there were many good Asian shops including one that specialised in Korean food). And I also have good Korean friends who have suppled me with foodstuffs and I’ve made friends with the lady who owns the oriental supply shop in Inverness! But, of course, there are still some things that I find very difficult to find.

Did you get this far north on your travels to Scotland this summer? The weather is really changing now!

Hi Suzanne, we didn’t go far up north, we ended up in edinburgh. I thought that city was nice. My in laws just did a B&B tour of scotland and they had a great time.
