Woori Market

View on Google Maps

A recent addition to the many Korean-owned businesses on “the Ave.” Plenty of Korean food, but not much in the way of fresh vegetables or raw meat. (The only raw meat they have is pre-seasoned bulgogi and daejigogi, and the only fresh veggies are a few heads of cabbage.) But plenty of canned goods, rice, ramen packets, sauces, kimchi, almost everything a Korean student at the University of Washington would need. Don’t go if you need to prepare a feast, but perfect if you’re only one or two people.

Everything is far away for me- I live on the Olympic Peninsula! I guess everything is relative…
I like Viet Wah on Yesler Way, too, but its emphasis is more Vietnamese.
I think they have another store on MLK way.

Boo Han is great. But far away if you’re living in central Seattle!

There are two good sized mainly Korean Asian Markets in the Seattle- Tacoma Area, both with full meat and produce departments.Pal-Do also has a lot of kitchen stuff ( dishes, stone bowls, kimchi crocks, etc)

Boo Han Asian Market has two stores: one at 92nd and South Tacoma Way in Tacoma, and one at 22618 Hwy.99 in Edmonds.

Pal-Do also has two locations: one at 96th and South Tacoma Way in Tacoma (four blocks south of Boo Han) and one at 17424 Hwy.99 in Lynnwood.

For those of you that read Korean, Boo Han (don’t know about Pal-Do) puts out a weekly ad just like Safeway!
