Hello, my name is Jennifer and I love this website. I am from the states but am living in Abu Dhabi. My husband and I lived in South Korea for four years and loved it. I never learned how to cook korean food because it was so easy, delicious and cheap to eat out. But I have made three dishes so far and they are wonderful. Thank you!

Hello everyone! Wow this is a great community!
We are a couple living in Daejeon, South Korea as English teachers within the public school program.
We LOVE food, and really enjoy trying and learning about all different kinds of Korean food.
The food here is awesome, by the way! ;)
We are vloggers as well, so far our videos has focused on different restaurants in the Daejeon area, but (with knowledge from Maangchi's videos and some more research) we hope to start producing videos of Korean food that is available here in the coming weeks.
If anyone is interested, we have some sites of our own:

You are lucky, Freddy. I'm picky about Kimchi, and only like to indulge in delicious ones. But I have come across so many Kimchi's that were gross. For some reason, there are too many restaurants I've been to that sell bad Kimchi. I think that would make some people (especially those that have never tasted Kimchi before) get a bad impression of Kimchi. One of my friends said he judges a Korean restaurant by the way their Kimchi tastes. I see some truth to that, though I have seen many places that serve other dishes that are fabulous, but ruins the experience with bad tasting Kimchi.

My neighbour just made a batch of kimchi last week and she brought me some in a plastic container. My wife and I ate it as soon as we got it because we were so excited to have home made kimchi. It's really salty and the doesn't have much flavour (like the sourness). Even the chilies are a bit lacking. I've actually had it at her place before and remember it was delcious! I don't know what happened to this one. Does anyone know if it needs to sit and ripen in the fridge for a while before we eat it? It's kinda making my fridge smell...
As much as I like the street food in Korea Here are my favorites: http://iloveeslkorea.com/5-street-foods-you-must-try-before-leaving-korea/, I really love sitting down with a pot of white rice, seaweed, and spicy kimchi.

Hello! I'm a Filipina, wife to a Korean, mom to a 5 month old little boy, and owner of a small Korean grocery store. My husband is a great cook but he refused to teach me how to cook korean food (hmmm... I wonder why? heheh). I started watching Maangchi's videos when my husband got busy planning and opening the store.
Maangchi doesn't just taught me how to cook. I was also able to tell our costumers (non-koreans) how to use our products (or atleast give them ideas). I'm definetely sharing your site to my customers and friends!!!

Hi everyone. I've been following Maangchi's videos for the past couple of years, and finally signed in here on the site recently. I'm here because Maangchi is awesome!!! I grew up eating lots of amazing homemade Korean food, but was never really shown how to make it (or maybe I was just too lazy to pay attention!). Anyhow, with Maangchi's help, I have been doing things in the kitchen that I could have only dreamed of before. These days the main Asian chefs of the family (my mom and my auntie) are too busy to teach, so I am extremely grateful to Maangchi for the pleasant (and often amusing) tutorials. I'm so happy to be able to recreate the flavors and textures that I regularly enjoyed (and nearly took for granted) as a child. Lots of xoxo's from Los Angeles, CA!! I heart u, Maangchi! I can cook for real, now! Thank you so much!!

Some people say that, Nfl jerseys wholesale，the Eredivisie League is Europe's second-rate league., The equivalent of England Champions League, Spanish League, Italian Serie B level, in the league as the level of goals is not difficult.

Some people say that once the lightning killer "came to the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, his goals at least to less than half, just like last season to move to Milan Suarez from Ajax, when he was in Afghanistan Jax when a season for the team into a ball and went to the Serie A season he only contributed to Milan goals.

In fact, behind these claims, has a variety of reasons, in the final analysis, is nothing more than jealousy at work nothing, they say, it is also a grain of truth.

Eredivisie league level, indeed can not be compared and the Premier League, La Liga, Serie Europe and even the world's highest level league, three major league, has assembled percent，Cheap Elite jerseys，of the best players in the world 99 striker, midfielder, defender, and even goalkeeper, the world's best players are in three major league.

Today, the treasure house came to Newcastle, came to the Premier League, whether he still be able to like him as in the Eredivisie League goals evolved as Tannangquwu easy?

Watching the 30-year-old Ferdinand and Coloccini in the exchange of pennants, the treasure trove of the game partner Owen stood the treasure around, he smiled and said: "Zhang, the first appearances in the Premier League will not will be a little nervous? "

Treasure house looked generally own height, but has a look of the vicissitudes of the former England football pride the hearts of all of a sudden more than a hint of admiration: he or she will one day will be like in front of Owen, only the ball to the hearts of the foot the love, Cheap nfl jerseys，dragging the body of a scarred continue to engage in fierce battle in the football field?

    "What? Zhang! Really nervous?"

Owen was surprised to see the eyes to the treasure house. He saw the treasure trove of just looked at do not say anything. Thought this young partner nervous. After half a month of time to get along. Owen has treasure trove of more and more appreciated. This kid has a quickly speed. Young when I'm afraid even if they can not keep up with him. And he still has very very abnormal physical fitness. Shearer give him formulate training programs. Large amount of exercise people simply listen to feel timid. He could have all the quality and quantity to complete.

Owen treasure trove of evaluation is: young Zhang. Will thrive!

"Oh Michael，Authentic nfl jerseys，I'm not nervous!" Treasure chest scratched the back of the head. Han Han smile: "I just think of some other things!"

Owen frowned: ". On the field would not have to think about other things of that will affect the game to!"

Two minutes later, both players respective station location, with the long whistle of the referee, the English Premier League season opened sky, Old Trafford sounded at once both fans cheering, close three months to play the game the day is a rare opportunity to adjust for each team. For Fans indeed languish, waiting for the sentence.

Newcastle，nhl jerseys china，took the lead kick-off, the treasure house of the ball gently knock to the Owen around and began to run toward the front of the Manchester United team half in the past, one by one red figure, cross-passing from the side of the treasure trove of treasure trove of very quickly ran to the forefront of one's own.

Hello (^.-) I'm Lilli from Germany. My obsession with Korean food started 2 1/2 years ago, when I visited a friend of me in Seoul... She was there because of her studies and since I'm a huge Asian fan since uhhhh ever? ^^ Well 2 weeks there and I fell in love with Korean food... But I still hesitated to cook it myself... >.< when I visited my aunt in Heidelberg (one of the beautiest city's in Germany) we went to an Korean restaurant there. After eating the traditional food again I gained more confidence to try it out myself... XDD Well now each Saturday or Sunday I'm trying out a new recipe XDD and a lot of these recipes are from these HP. So I have to thank you~~~~~ a lot (^.^)

Hello! I'm Aiko. I live in Bandung Indonesia. My interest in Korean food began when I started watching Korean drama a year ago. Everything they eat looks delicious!

One day I was searching for ddeokkbukki recipe and came across Maangchi's channel. I've tried several recipes already and it all turned out great.

Korean food used to be very expensive and served only in exclusive restaurants here where I live. That's why I'm so lucky to be able to cook my own Korean food. And although now Korean food is more accessible and affordable, I'd prefer my own adventurous cooking (because I'm really just a beginner :D)

Anyways, I'm so thankful to Maangchi for sharing recipes and every bit of her knowledge in Korean cooking and culture with me..ahem..I mean with us. Thanks Maangchi!

Greetings from behgopa.com. Maangchi has been my resource for Korean cooking for the past few years. Her recipes are so quick and easy (not to mention tasty). I first came across Maangchi a few years ago while googling a certain dish (don’t remember what it was). I watched her video on youtube. And the next time I googled another Korean recipe, there she was again. And her site kept popping up for almost every Korean dish I googled. After watching several videos of hers on youtube, she became a familiar face…almost like a friendly neighbor. I’d love to have her as a neighbor. She’d always have yummy cooking going on in her home lol.

I am Korean American, so I grew up eating Korean food. Cooking varies with taste, so when I follow one of her many delicious recipes, I tend to tweak things here and there to adjust it to my palate. Spiciness is one of the tastes I tend to alter. I have a slightly higher capsaicin tolerance than the average person, so often times, my dishes tends to be a little bit on the spicier side.

When I was growing up, my grandmother and housekeeper(s) made all the meals at home. I did how to cook (PERIOD) until I was in my early 20s (over ten years ago). In my early adult life, my mom started to cook in the home. She never cooked while I was growing. And I hated her cooking (with the exception of a couple of things). She did teach me some things (that has been drastically altered over the years by me) when I was first learning how to cook. But I was not happy with the results. Her food was just so disgusting. So I always went out to eat or ordered things to go. I started to miss home-cooked meals, especially home-cooked Korean meals.

I realized that I could not be eating out/ordering food all the time (home-cooking is healthier and easier on the wallet). I decided it was time for me to learn how to cook. Little by little, I started researching for recipes and learning how to make various dishes. And gradually, my cooking started becoming edible. Years later, I went on to culinary school (at first, it was to pursue a hobby but it evolved into a career change later on) and learned how to cook professionally, so needless to say, my cooking has come a long way since the days of not even knowing how to make rice.

When I first found Maangchi, it was around the same time I was learning how to cook professionally. So while learning the traditional French cooking techniques in school while making the Coq au Vins and Boeuf Bourguignons , at home, I was watching Maangchi videos and cooking the Jjigaes, different banchans, etc. It was a time of absorbing as much info as I possibly could on cooking…of how and why things happen the way they do in cooking (the science aspect of cooking), and applying that knowledge to making food taste better.

I am using this website to help me learn more about Korean food, because I will soon be moving to Seoul, South Korea. I am already learning the language, but I want to learn about the food as well. I have always had a love for the Asian culture (mostly Korean and Japanese). This website is very much helpful though! Thank you!

Hi! So happy to have finally become part of the group. I have been watching and loving Maangchi in these videos for a couple of years now. I spent a year in Korea and fell in love with the food, people, and beautiful seaside setting. I was in Tongyeong and loved being part of the small town, with it's fishing community, outdoor markets, and awesome parks! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of a very special dish I had there. I cannot find the name of it anywhere, but would love to make or find this dish somewhere. It is a pale seafood soup with oysters, squid, clams, and a few other things I cannot remember. It was served with spaghetti style noodles. I love it!

Hi Maangchi,
I am Vicky and I´m from Logroño, La Rioja, Spain.
I have been following your web long time ago, and I´ve made some of your fantastic recipes. I love korean food. I´ve known this kind of food because my partner is korean.
Nowadays, I prepare my own kimchi and I always try to learn new recipes. Sometimes I learn of my partner (he cooks very well) and also of theirs sisters in law.
I´ve decided to write you because I don´t know what happen with the web. It doesn´t work well, at least in Spain. The format have changed. It´s a pity , before it was better.
Any way, I want to give you my congratulations for the web, it is very interesting , complete and clear.
Sorry for my English, but it's my hanging subjetc. :-))
Regards, Vicky

Hello, my name is Carolyn, and I didn't know much about Korean food or culture until I met my boyfriend in college. He is Korean and he makes really good food and has introduced me to so many things about Korean culture. I went to Korea a little while ago to meet his family, which was a lot of fun. The food was really delicious. We had 떡갈비 in 춘천 and it was 대박! Thank you Maangchi for teaching me how to make delicious food for my boyfriend, like he makes delicious food for me. Today I'm going to make your 짜장밥. (I hope my Korean spelling is ok! ^^)

My name is Patricia and I am 25 years old. I live in California with my half Korean husband. My husband has always loved Korean food because he grew up with it. I remember my mother cooking bulgogi and trying to make kimchi when I was younger,. She is German but loves to cook different dishes from different cultures. Well anyways, I googled how to cook Korean recipes and was directed to your site :) ever since I joined I have made various dishes like cucumber kimchi, kimchi, radish kimchi, bulgogi, ttukpokke, bimbimguksu, jjajangmyeon, dakbokkeumtang, kimchi fried rice and Kim bap. My husband LOVES your recipes!! He is the happiest man when I cook him Korean food. Tonight I am making dakbokkeumtang and ttukpokke! Thank you sooooo much!
