When I do my Korean BBQ, I use fresh garlic in sesame oil. That is what is typically served in Korean restaurants that I've been to....in Korea at least.

Hi, would like to know does garlic pickled in soy sauce equivalent to those they provide in korean BBQ store?

The garlic is soak in a clear liquid (don't know what it is) and the waiter will put the steel bowl on the grill and after it boils for a while, the garlic tasted great without the spiciness.

Hi, i have tried raw blue crab marinated in sweet spicy sauce in one of the korean restaurant Daorae. It's so delicious and my mouth waters just by the thought of it.

Are you able to make a tutorial on how to prepare the crab & the sauce? I found the thread on the request from another user but does not seem to find the recipe.

I might have missed it. If you have post before, are you able to provide the link?

I am definitely going to try out how to make Dukkboggi & Gae-jang soon. :)

Hi, I am from Penang, Malaysia.
I love to eat korean food, especially one near my place called "Daorae".

I have only experiment with few korean dishes like Bibimbap, Daejang soup with the rest is more on banchan, pickles and kimchi making.

I love to read your blog and would definitely try out more
dishes. It's sad that the only korean mart was miles away, so i only gets to restock once a week. :)
