Yes, that's exactly what it looks like! The Korean restaurant in my hometown uses the cheap ones, and it might not cook as nice but it keeps things hot better than regular dishes for sure.

Thank you. I'll try it out. :)

Hey chainik you mean one of these?

As far as I know, the REAL dolsot is made with stone, usually a lot more than $8.99 in the US. But if you're on a budget, buy the black one, then upgrade after you graduate and start making muchos dinero.

I'm a student and so I can't afford to buy a good dolsot right now. (Someday I will!) So far I've been making food like sun dubu jjigae and bibimbap with my regular pots and pants, and it's okay, but I'd really like a dolsot.

The Korean market in my town has some cheap black dolsots on sale. The single-serving sized one is only $8.99. However, I'm worried that such a cheap dolsot might actually be a bad idea!

Should I stay away from them and just wait until I can afford a good one? I've heard that dolsot are hard to care for an easily broken, so if cheap ones break easier, I might want to wait.

(Losing $8.99 wouldn't be so bad, but if it broke and made a mess...)
