awesome! Thank you for leaving your mom's authentic recipe here! If you want, please leave it in the "readers' recipes" category, too.
The soup title is "Sigeumchi doenjangguk" (spinach and soy bean paste soup)

I was looking for sigumchiguk yesterday and ended up having to call my mom for the recipe and here's what I did.

Filled a 2 quart pot with water up to about 2 inches below the top.
Made anchovy broth with about 4 anchovies I think? Also added a quarter of an onion to it to get more flavor in the broth.

Boil the anchovies in water for about 20 minutes, then add cleaned spinach to it and a spoonful of soybean paste.
I used about a third a bundle of spinach, pretty much however much you want.
If you wanted to add clams this would probably be the point to add them. I think when my mom used to make it for me she'd added green onion at this point too, but I don't really like green onion, so I skipped it.
Boil for about 20 - 30 min and there you have it! If the broth tastes too strong I'd add some water to dilute it.

unchienne,
I think the soup you mention is sigumchiguk (spinach soup) which is made with spinach, bean paste, and clams or dried anchovies. I will keep your request in mind and post the recipe someday.

Mom and I use to spend summers wading in the freshwater lakes looking for small clams. We'd then take the clams to one of her friend's houses where they'd add spinach and make one of the tastiest soups I've ever had. In fact, it was such a favorite that it use to be my yearly birthday dinner before the friend moved away. If anyone knows a good recipe for this dish, please share.
