Hi everyone. I was born in Korea. I grew up in the US living in Florida, and NYC. I currently live in the midwest where I am a vascular surgeon. My wife and I both love Korean food, but never really learned how to make some of the more "advanced" items. The Korean cookbooks are rather never precise in the steps, and a lot gets lost in translation. Maangchi manages to demystify Korean cooking -taking it out of the hands of our mothers and putting it on Youtube and this site.
Because of this site, we are cooking more Korean food, and I believe eating more healthy food. Thank you Maangchi and Maanseh! (Ten thousand years!)
