Maangchi~ 11 years ago, I was stationed in Uijeongbu. Boy, do I MISS some good food. Im not sure where to find it already made where I live, so I hope maybe you can help me! I am going to spell and describe the best I can. 1-Sweet corn cake/muffins from the train station 2-Yahki Mandu (with “glass noodles”) 3-Hot Orange citrus tea 4-Pumpkin Porridge 5-there was a dinner that we called “sticky rice with bulgogi” 6-When we went to a sit-down restraunt they would cook beef and pork at our table, and we had LOTS of veggies that we added to it, and wrapped it all up in a leaf
I look forward to seeing if you can make the matches :)
Thank you!
My husband was stationed in Uijeongbu (Camp Stanley) for two years (2010-2012), we were lucky enough to get command sponsored so my daughter and I lived there as well :-). It was the best two years, I miss it so much, especially the food. I just had to share that with you, I thought it was pretty cool to read you had lived there as well :-).
