      I have a question about hot pepper paste. Maangchi always talks about how spicy the recipes are when she uses it; however I bought the same one and it is slightly sweet and not spicy, is that normal or is there something wrong. I’m pretty sure I bought the same brand that she uses.

      Pepper paste comes in different heat levels. Often there is a small picture on the label of a thermometer.

      I like Haechandle brand but their hot is REALLY hot. Their medium is about perfect for me. Chung Jung Won brand is very good too.
