Korean cooking forum topics
I am wanting to make a 10 # batch of Kimchi this morning but could not find the red pepper flakes. I did, however find red pepper powder. Maangchi uses 2 1/2 cups of the flakes. How much of the powder should I use. Thanks for the help. Bill
It is the same i believe. Gochugaru (고추가루) Hot pepper flakes/ powder usually is the same though i think u can get course or fine types..i think mine is course and works perfectly for Kimchi.
I love kimchi, but i don’t know how to cook one, can you guys post some videos and articles so I can watch and cook some kimchi for my kids.:) By the way, if any of you wanted to read some useful article, go here.
