Kimchi using bottled kimchi base sauce

Dear Maanchi.
I am a nepalese living in France. Me and my husband just love korean food. I have been inspired by your cooking videos and I have tried many of your recipes. They always turn out to be delicious. But I have very hard time making kimchi.I don’t find the correct ingredients, especially gochugaru and fermented shrimp, to make the kimchi like you do.Once I tried using normal pepper flakes and it was a disaster. However I just found a bottled kimchi base in a huge asian supermarket. But I simply have no idea how to use it. Please please please help me to make kimchi using this kind of sauce. I don’t have any other options to make it until I find gochugaru.
