Hi everyone, I love the recipes here but I would really like to find a great, authentic Korean cookbook written in Korean so I can practice my Korean while cooking. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks so much,
Cindy
I have a huge volume. But don't read korean. It is apparently also a food science text denoting what food combinations are nutritionally advantageous, and why certain flavors are considered optimal. If you are interested perhaps we can come to an arrangement. I can send you the book if you pay for shipping, and you send me translated recipes.
Let me know. The book is about 8 x 10 x 2.5 inches and 730 pages. It is called the "Home Cooking Encyclopedia" and looks to have been printed in the 1950's or 60's. There are some color photos in the beginning, and some black and white photos in the body of the book.
I don't know if this is too old to interest you, or if you don't want to translate.
If that is the case, and someone else is interested, Maangchi perhaps? Let me know.
