Is red pepper flake the same as powder?
I sent my husband off to the Korean store today, and he just called me to tell me that they don't carry anything that says 'flakes'. It's all powder.
He did mention one was coarse red pepper powder and said it looked like it had chunks or whatever.
Is that the same?
I'm pretty sure crushed red pepper isn't the same right? Looks too large and it's the stuff you see in pizza joints next to the parmesean cheese shaker.
Even looking it up online, there doesn't seem to be anything on it other than people mistaking it for crushed red pepper.
Any clarification on this would be great.
