Red pepper paste Problems

Hi Maangchi and everyone,

i need help with something. 1 month and a half ago i bought Red pepper paste in a korean store and since i cant read korean i just took the first one i saw but i think theres different kind of red pepper paste. So im wondering is red pepper paste is supposed to be insanly spicy because mine is so spicy you cant even taste the dish you made and im pretty sure i almost cried the first time i tasted my ddeokbokki with that in it lol and almost puked too it was way too strong and im wondering if i could have took the wrong one and if its supposed to be like this or not.
