I was going to start a batch of Kimchi today, but found out I was out of Sweet Rice Flour, but had a bag of short-grained sticky rice in the cupboard. I put 1/2 cup in my cheap little coffee grinder & made a powder out of it, and then sifted it out in a flour sifter. If this works out, it sure is a cheap alternitave!
What do you think?
great idea! You can use all purpose flour, too.
did you wash the rice first? or soak it for how many hours? or just grind it dry?
