Hi Maangchi,
I love all your recipe videos. Some of the dishes I tried turn out quite tasty. When I go to Korean restaurants, some serve the seaweed noodle salad as a side dish , I really love it and wanting to know how to make it. Can you please make a video for this recipe? Thanks so much!

Hi Sanne,
Thanks for those links to the recipes, but it’s not quite what I have in mind. The salad is made from seaweed jelly , snowy looking noodles mixed with strips of cucumbers and carrots, then coated in a mayo based dressing, very crunchy, and interesting texture in every bite.
I’ve made it once following the instructions on the back of the package, but it didn’t come out the same in both taste and texture. Just recently found a couple of YouTube clips for this recipe. But still hoping to see Maangchi’s version soon :)
Thanks again for a quick reply!

Sounds like a recipe for jellyfish to me – 해파리 냉채 (cold cooked jellyfish). I’ve seen that with seaweed-jelly, too.
You may try to make your own jelly from agar-agar with less water if you don’t want to use actual jellyfish.
If you don’t find a fitting recipe, I’ll post it.Bye, Sanne.
