My daughter was recently diagnosed with a soy allergy, and I am looking for a Soy free, gluten free recipe that the Asian palate would find acceptable as a Soy Sauce replacement. Maangchi, do you have any suggestions? The ones I have seen online might have the right color, and to a Western palate be salty, but to my taste (I am half Korean) they just don’t cut it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this topic has already been discussed could I please have a link?

how about myeolchiyeot? It’s saltier, but tasty and soy- and glutenfree – at least, that’s what the Canari-brand bottle says.
