I just recently bought some Gochujang and the only recipie that i know to use it in is for ddukbokki. What other dishes can i use it in that are easy to prepare and make? And also what is its main purpose in Korean cooking?
The easiest Korean dish I know that uses hot pepper paste is the kimchi stew. I’m pretty sure you could use this paste anywhere you would add chilies. There’s gochujang in almost every recipe on this website! ;)
I ALWAYS use gochujang when I make myself kimchi rice … it adds an intensity that the kimchi just doesn’t have.
Gochujang adds a punch of spicy to a dish!
Some time ago i added one spoon of gochujang in my white beans in tomato sauce. It worked for me.
