This time our Korean Food Fan is Laifa Vos-Man from the Netherlands. The first Korean food she tried was homemade kimchi  in her friend’s house and now she’s so good at making kimchi that it’s her top dish. The good thing about being able to make good kimchi is that it allows you to make other great dishes like kimchi stew, kimchi fried rice, kimchi soup, and kimchi pancakes! I’d love to taste her kimchi someday.

What is your name and where do you live?
My name is Laifa, I live in the Netherlands.

Tell me about the first time you ever tasted Korean food. Where were you, and what did you eat?
The first time I ate Korean food was at my friends house, he’s half Korean half American and he let me try his homemade kimchi. I loved it immediately!

How often do you cook Korean food following my recipes?
Me and my husband Erik love to cook. We always vary our meals. We love Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Italian, and Spanish food. Actually, we love all kinds of food!
We weekly use your recipes and there’s always a stock of kimchi in the fridge!

What are your favorite Korean dishes? Choose 3, please!
It’s very hard to choose, but my 3 favorite Korean dishes are, in random order, kimchi, kimchi-jjigae and dwaejibulgogi.

What’s your best Korean dish, the one that everybody compliments you on when you make it?
Everybody really loves my homemade kimchi and my friends all enjoy to eat a complete Korean meal with lots of banchans!
