I need help here. I am about to buy ginseng in Seoul but I read from internet there are 3 types of ginseng - susam, baeksam, hongsam. which one of these type you use to make ginseng chicken soup above?? Any advise how I choose good quality ginseng?
I read one of the comments I can substitute it with 1tbs ginseng powder, any recommended ginseng powder brand you have? Thank you!!"

I am about to make yukgaejang as it's been my favorite soup since I was in college. I definitely prefer this than kimchi jiggae. But if my friend gave me both, I would love to clean them up too :p
My question is, is it OK to add vegetable that's been seasoned after we reboild the chopped mushroom and beef? Will it change the taste or something? Because I wanna eat kind of crunchy mung bean sprout and green onion. I just thought that boiling them over 10min will make them mushy..

Maangchi, attached is how mine turned out. It looks so pretty but IT didn’t taste good bcs in Indonesia we commonly eat long grained rice. I made it from SCRATCH by following your recipe, Oh I can’t thank you enough.
So, could you pls recommend special brand of short grained flour that you usually use so I could buy it via Amazon or ask my friend whos gonna travel to south Korea??

"I also tried to make it at home last year and my Mom and brother liked it. Not sure bcs they were too hungry or bcs I made it correctly to turned out to be yummy LOL. I added and substituted some ingredients based on what I had and liked. Thanks again Maangchi!! God bless youuu"

"I've tried so many of your recipe but I would say this one turned out to be the most successful recipe! My mom and aunty loveeeed it! I also tasted it as a good food but strangely I can't eat a lot after cooking it bcs it's really exhausting lol soo many ingredient and so many stir fried to do.
