"This is one of my favorite side dishes. I'm glad I found this recipe because I had no idea where to stare. On my first trial, I used white granulated sugar and Maggie soy sauce. The flavor was different but since I'm use to this soy sauce, I ate it all anyway! I'll have to try using the Koren soy sauce next time. Do you think using corn syrup with change the flavor too? I ended up caramelizing the sugar first, which gave it a richer flavor."
