"I love these! We buy the packet Kimchi from the supermarket, but I want to make my own. Now I can! Thank you! Though I don't know whether I can find the ponytail radish here. Ponytail radish hunting for me this weekend! :D"

"try googling "beef ginger kue tiaw recipe". that's one of my favourite dishes. There are quite a few recipes under that name. I hope that helps. :)"

"Maangchi... I should've told you how to pack some from Malaysia. I come from a family of "expert durian smugglers". hehehe... If you liked the durian here, you should try the durians from Borneo. Their flesh are orange or red, stronger than the ones in West Malaysia. My husband can't eat those, but loves eating the layered cakes made from these durians. YUM!"

"To hanabanana, thanks for the info. I stay in Shah Alam, yup, next door from you. :) And my daughter is also called Hannah-banana. :D To Maangchi, I am very grateful with all the recipes, it's fun choosing what to eat with the kids. Family favourite is definitely the mixed rice and kimbap. Thank you!"

"I'm a Muslim, too. I would like to know if alcohol was added to the black bean paste and the gochujang during the fermentation process. I love Korean food. The best I've had is in Brunei in a restaurant called Kimchi. They even have the BBQ tables. Sadly, I don't think there are any halal Korean restaurants here in Malaysia that does that. :( I'm going to Brunei next week, will try to take a photo of the restaurant and submit it here. :)"
