So I wanted to eat 닭강정 (if that’s how it’s written) but didn’t want to fry the chicken. My solution? I made the yummy sauce like Maangchi did but I made crispy oven fried chicken instead. I put the chicken in the sauce and sprinkled with crushed peanuts and sesame seeds (like Maangchi did). The result? Awesome deliciousness :-) I served with my Jamaican rice and peas and crushed taro, potato and yamaimo with green peas (What? I didn’t have enough potatoes for mashed potatoes so I mashed other things :-P ) Great Sunday dinner, Jamaican/Korean fusion!

The recipe for Dakgangjeong (Sweet crunchy chicken: 닭강정) is here!

Thanks Maamgchi :-) I’m surprised at how well it turned out, doing it this way. I’m making your manjuu with Lika beans soon :-)

Your oven fried dakgangjeong looks very tasty and the rice also looks yummy!
