LOL – I know that feeling!
I bought some tongs in Korea a couple of years ago (pure metal – the tongs in that photo look more like bicycle brakes to me ;-D), it’s nice to have a complete equipment, but I don’t trust my wrists with such a heavy and hot load!
Mittens and kitchen towels for me, too.
