Bubble tea is a LOT of fun to make. I fell in love with Bubble tea many years ago and have no place that sells it locally so I have started making it at home.

The ratio is at least 7:1 water to bubbles. You boil them for 20 minutes turn the heat off and let them sit in the water for another 20 minutes. Then rinse them in cold water and serve.

Just a note, they dont keep very well at all so only make what you are going to serve. You can keep them in the fridge for a little while (a day or two) but they get mushy really fast and aren’t as tasty as fresh.

You also need to make sugar syrup to make the teas with and that is 2 cups water, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar. Combine in a large pot and stir over medium heat until it starts to boil. Remove from heat and let cool. You can store this for a long time in the fridge if you make extra.

To make the flavored tea there are a few ways to do it. With dried powders and syrups. I tried both and like the syrups the best.

With the powder add 1 scoop flavored powder (scoop comes with the powder ^_^) 1 scoop non-dairy creamer (ONLY IF YOU WANT MILKY TEA) and 1 scoop of your sugar syrup. Add this into a shaker with some ice and 3/4 cup of tea (I prefer thai tea for my bubble tea but any tea will work) Shake well!

Fill bottom of a glass with bubbles, cover the bubbles with sugar syrup, and pour your yummy tea mixture over.

Syrup flavored tea is the same recipe but substitute the syrup for the powder.

You can also put it all in a blender and make a frozen smoothie bubble tea drink. Or my personal favorite:

Fill shaker with Thai tea

1 scoop sugar syrup

2 Tablespoons condensed milk

mix in shaker with ice.

THAI BUBBLE TEA! YUM!

Another great idea that is yummy is to add fresh fruit to your drink and put in a blender!!

Experiment and try things you love. You wont be sorry! ^_^

What is everyone’s favorite Bubble tea flavor?
