I made some 매실청 (green plum extract) as per Maangchi’s instructions but when i checked on it 2 weeks later, there was 곰팡이 (mould) growing on top. What am i doing wrong? Do i need to throw the whole thing out? Is it salvageable? What can i do in the future to prevent this? Please help!
Remove the moldy plums and push the plums down into the syrup with a spoon occasionally so that the ones exposed to the air in the jar won’t get moldy. So once in a while, open it and stir it. It will help.
