      Hi Maangchi,

      I’m a Korean immigrant in the US, and I remember from my childhood summer vacations to my maternal grandparents’ house in Busan this jelly-like side dish! I had been wondering what it was for years and years, and finally I got in touch with one of my aunts and she told me it was 우뭇가사리 (agar). She also said it is only available in the summer. But I know in the US they sell agar powder, so I was wondering if it’ll be possible to recreate my grandma’s agar dish with the powder. You must know this dish! I would be eternally grateful if you put up a recipe for it.
