I moved to a new State, didn’t yet have all my kitchen items or ingredients and bought mak kimchi. I didn’t realize it is vegetarian and it is REALLY bland. Spicy, but awfully flavorless. I divided the bag into 4 16-oz mason jars. I’m wondering if I could add a tsp of fish sauce to each jar to “fix” the lack of flavor?
You can add that however, the results will be slightly different, and I would definitely recommend ordering some gochujang if you can.
Yes, some special recipes for kimchi include fish sauce which doubles the taste of kimchi.
