      Hello,
Does any one have a source for buying fresh perilla leaves? I’ve tried growing them, but I’ve had no luck. It would be great if you have an email for the supplier, but even just the location of store that has them.

I got plenty from my usual shop last week: http://www.shinhan-mall.de/ko/ – Shall I call them this Monday and ask if they send them to Sweden (they don’t for frozen goods and those that need cooling)?
If they do, it’ll be around 20 Euro shipping to Sweden (according to their website).

      Bye, Sanne.

Thanks for the help! sorry I was so late getting back to you, I hadn’t checked this form in quite a while.
I guess I’m just going to keep asking for perilla every time I go to my Korean and Chinese supermarket. When I lived in Wonju, I really wanted real cheese, my friends and I started asking for it every time we went to Emart, after about 6 months, they started having a brie and an Australian cheddar.

I asked – sorry, because it can take too long until vegetables get to the customer they don’t send fresh and frozen food to Sweden.
But you can get a lot of other good stuff there…

      Sorry, Sanne.

Try again with growing them! I saw a video a few years ago about somebody who grew them and they came up nicely in her yard. Even if the summer is coming to a close, you can plant them in containers and bring them indoors into a hothouse environment if you must.

This is one Korean ingredient that I do not care for, but I recognize that it is integral to many dishes for them to be really authentic. Good luck to you.
