Hello from Melbourne

Hello everybody! My name is Mark. Originally from Malaysia, I have been living in Melbourne, Australia for the past 14 years.

I’ve been following Maangchi on Youtube for about 3 years now and I always get inspiration from her videos. My favourite past-time is cooking and so I take every opportunity I can to make and create (or re-create) my favourite dishes from around the world.

I discovered Korean food and Korean culture when I moved to Australia. As strange as it sounds, there weren’t many Korean restaurants back when I was growing up in my hometown, and it wasn’t until I arrived in Australia and started meeting and making Korean friends here that really opened my eyes and taste buds to this wonderful culture.

I made my first trip to Korea last year and it was perhaps one of the most memorable travel visits I’ve done. Can’t wait to go back!
