Kimchi Paste Storage

I am looking to make a large batch of paste as I cannot afford to keep driving 90 miles round trip for supplies I only use 1/2 of and then toss as I am at a loss as to how long they have been sitting. Anyhow, if I make a large batch of Kimchi Paste, what is the best way to store it long term?

Put it in a ice cube tray and freeze it. Put the frozen paste cubes in a ziplock freezer bag. It will keep a very long time in the freezer.
