Hi:
I wonder where can I buy this ingredient in Mexico. We used to live at Tijuana (near San Diego, CA) and was not a problem to get the red pepper paste there; however some years ago we moved south, and we do not know where to search for it. My wife´s grandparents were koreans, and she know how to cook some good things, but we need to get this ingredient. Do you know by chance where to get this, or how ro prepare it? Thanks a lot.

It would be helpful if you tell us where in Mexico you live.. Like a city or a province?? Mexico is a huge country..
I know there are definately Korean grocery stores in Mexico City – usually places with a significant amount of Asians – especially big cities will probably have them. Try searching online for it..
According to wikipedia..
“Mexico City has a small enclave of Korean restaurants, supermarkets, and video rental stores in the Zona Rosa neighborhood, mainly located on Calle Florencia. Most of Mexico City’s Koreans are more recently arrived, the result of South Korea’s economic boom of the ‘60s and ‘70s.”
and if you are really desperate..
