Hi all,
My husband and I absolutely LOVE Korean food. I’ve started making some of Maangchi’s dishes a few months ago and it’s been a blast. Now that my 13-month-old son is starting to eat more foods closer to our meals, it’s become a little more of a hassle to make his food separately. My question is, Are there Korean dishes that a toddler can enjoy with the whole family?
So far he’s had omurice, Mandu (I chop it up in tiny pieces), various soups (he loves donjang-jigae) and non-spicy noodle dishes when he eats with us. (He also likes Oi-sobagi but I peel the skin off the cucumber and scrape off all the spicy stuff). Any more you can recommend? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I fed my toddler Dduk bokki (the non-spicy version with soy sauce). Also, I fed her bibimbap when my husband and I were eating it, but cut her veggies a lot smaller, and instead of using gochujang sauce, I sometimes use hoisin or just a mixture of low sodium soy, sesame oil, and a touch of agave syrup for sweetness.
She also really loves gimbap, but you have to cut everything really small and make bite size.
She also will eat denjang gook (miso soup) with soft veggies and tofu, and with rice!
Enjoy this time! It’s a great time to introduce a lot of new flavours!!!

Hi Kokomama!
Thank you so much for your suggestions!
Today I’m marinating veal ribs and trying a Galbi (my local supermarket doesn’t have beef ribs, but did have veal). My son doesn’t seem to like red meat so I’ll try your suggestions and make super tiny gimbap. :)
