Hello! My name is Jacob, and I live in North Dakota, where the winters are freezing(to most people) and the summers are humid and hot. I’ve lived here my entire life, except for 3 years when I was younger and I lived in Georgia.
Two of my best friends are half Korean, and that is what most made me turn to Korean food and the language. Of course, now I know how to speak more Korean than they do haha!
What made me officially start my ‘Korean Kick’ was google-ing the differences in the ways different Asian countries used chopsticks, and it grew from there. I’ve learned a good amount of the language, I can read Hangul, and I can even type Hangul using my American Keyboard!
I’ve started eating ‘Korean style’ I call it, where I’ll have ‘banchan’ and a bowl of rice, and of course kimchi! But I want to get into cooking Korean food.
I like cooking, reading, learning, singing, photography, and a lot more!
Thank you Maangchi! Your blog is simply amazing! I always read your recipes and watch your videos so I can learn to cook like you!
