orange mould on Meju blocks

  Hi everyone,
  I’ve been trying to find an answer to this for a while to no avail. My meju blocks have been hanging for a couple of days only and they’ve got dark brown and orange mould on them that’s spreading quite a bit everyday. Is this safe? Do I need to toss them?

  Your meju looks great! Follow the rest of the directions, then you will make delicious ganjang and doenjang.
