My family and I don’t like sesame oil (at least, not the one we have). Does anyone have a recommendation for a good one? Regular and toasted? The one we have is too strong. The owner at the Korean grocery store we go to had me try Perilla oil, instead, and we love it but it’s not always available.
I like Ottogi brand sesame oil. Because of it’s strong flavor. But you don’t like sesame oil, you should make the Mat-gi-reum(Sesame oil taste seasoning oil)
It use most of the restaurants in Korea cheap substitutes make the dipping sauce for KBBQ. Usually made by mixing corn oil or cottonseed oil and add approximately 2-30% sesame oil. you can made into less sesame oil.
If you think all this too complicate. Just using olive oil. ^^
