Hi All,
I recently returned from a trip to Seoul where I had some of the best meals of my life! One really fun experience was lunch at a Buddhist restaurant in Seoul where we were served many new greens and other types of plants. One dish was little berries/seeds still on their stems in a bowl of soy sauce. They were crunchy and a little licorice-y, and so delicious! Can anyone help me identify them? Thank you!
Omija aka five-flavor berry?
Hmmm maybe! Are Omija ever green? These were a green color and all of the pictures that came up online when I searched looked red.
Thanks so much for your response!
Did they have one seed or several smallish seeds or lots of very small seeds? From the picture, I thing pickledokra is right, here is a site with green Schisandra chinensis
