      Does the vegetarian Kimchi stink up the refrigerator for the 2 weeks it is fermenting in a sealed jar?

      I guess it depends on the container you use. If it is really airtight, there shouldn’t be a problem. I thought mine was airtight and the whole appartment (roomtemperature fermentation) and now the refrigerator smells like ass. Obviously I was wrong.

      We keep our kimchi in these containers. That radish kimchi is super ripe (great for soon dubu stew) and it doesn’t stink until you crack the lid. Glass and a screw top lid should stop the delicious aroma of kimchi :-)
