Hi! I want to make kimchi, but where I live we don’t have Daikon, can I use kohlrabi or is there other options? ☺️

I typically just use red radish if I cannot get daikon when I make kimchi, and it turns out fine. Hope that helps!

Yeah, you can use white radish instead of Daikon to make kimchi.

I have used turnip when I could not find the Daikon radish. I cut it in match stick size and it worked fine.

Hey there! That’s awesome that you want to make kimchi. We actually sometimes sub in turnips for Daikon, but kohlrabi works too! If you have access to any kind of radish, it could also work. Don’t limit yourself! Have fun experimenting.
