I have a couple of friends that would like to have a traditional Korean dinner and I was wondering what a traditional dinner menu in a Korean family might consist of. I am looking at possibly 5 adults being present and would like to make sure that I plan the best possible menu.

I can’t speak about tradition, since I am 100% American, but I can tell you that when I serve Ponytail Radish kimchi made from Maangchi’s recipe (and followed to the tiniest detail) to my Korean guests, I get such swooning, appreciative thanks that I feel guilty knowing I didn’t learn at the feet of an ancient Korean grandmother. Also, Dongchimi (again, follow the recipe religiously!) garnered for me one guest’s thank you: “You not only fed my body, but my soul too”. So, that’s all I need to keep me going for a long time!
