Which do you prefer? Spicy Kimchi or sweet Kimchi?

I prefer sweet Kimchi to spicy Kimchi. Because, I think sweet Kimchi goes well anything. Not only Korean food but also other food.
I’d like mine to be sweet but it’s turned out quite salty. I did use lots of salt on the cabbage but rinsed and rinsed and rinsed. Can I now add something to sweeten. It’s been going for four days but has just started burping/bubbling. Actually I just said to my honey ‘hour house is too cold to ferment things’ and then took the lid off and it exploded all over the counter.
Anyway, it very salty and it a bit too spicy even though I put less than recommended chilli flake.
What can I add to sweeten please help. I don’t want it to waste.
