I bought kimchi and the label said no msg no fishsauce. I was wondering if not having those ingredients changed the taste very much?
I have tried traditional homemade kimchi and a vegan kimchi without fish sauce or seafood. Yes it does taste a bit different to me. The traditional one has a hint of fish flavor. The one without fish sauce was a little saltier.
