    How does it taste?

I reaaallly love this but I don’t want to go and buy the ingredients unless I’m 100% sure its going to turn out alright. I’ve heard that you have to be really careful when you eat raw crab.

I remember some parts of this recipe:

Freeze some live sea crabs for a while until they die or something.

Heat up the sauce: fish sauce, soy sauce, red pepper powder, garlic, sugar.

Put the frozen crab in the boiling sauce, stir and take it off the heat.

I wish Maangchi would put this recipe up :[ I’m too scared to try this recipe that I have never tried =T

My father believes Kimchi never goes bad haha. I don’t understand why he thinks that….

I found some old Kimchi in my refrigerator once, and I threw it away. My father saw me throwing it away and claimed that the white liquidy mold on top was actually like yogurt, and that its alright to eat it. I threw it away anyways xD

    Wow, that’s great!

Actually, I am always hungry and love eating Korean food. I rarely go out to eat because the food I make at home is so delicious. I eat a lot, but I don’t gain any weight. I’m not super skinny either, I’m about average weight. Anyways that’s awesome! Korean food forever and ever <3

It’s called bossam Kimchi I think. It’s one of the ways Korean people eat their meals. They take the cabbage, put a little rice and some of the spicy radish stuff, along with some fresh oysters. Wrap it up and enjoy ^^

Here in New York, I know there is a dish that sounds something like that. Its a dish “borrowed” from the Vietnamese but there is a Korean restaurant serving it. I think its something like pho, I think my mother had it at the restaurant; they call it shabu shabu? Ah not sure. Pho is delicious though! Cilantro and the bean sprouts make it so yummy!

My mom said that the Dduk you need for the Dduk bokk gi is processed alot; the supermarkets and banchan stores have a machine that stretch it out to make it that tough chewy texture.

You can TRY to make it with rice powder/flour and boiled water but… i wouldnt recommend it! it probably wouldnt be tough enough to make dduk bokk gi!

    Yes?

If they are not refrigerated, they spoil quickly!

Anything raw that sits on the counter overnight is not good for you!

Oysters should be kept in the freezer if youre not using them. They thaw quickly :]

mm… i dont believe its pressed. I love that! Its so delicious!

    Its basically a chunk of pork thats been boiled in some water with a touch of soybean paste and some salt maybe. then cut of course (;

The spicy radish is easy to make! Just gotta julianne slice some radishes, put some salt on it, let it sit for like 30 min, and make the kimchi sauce. Oysters; you can buy the sushi quality in the freezer section of a Korean supermarket. its in a clear package with dark blue in it. It should say “I.Q.F. Oyster” on it :]

AH i want to eat it… *growling stomach*

Omg you know what is soooo good for breakfast? Porridge! Boil a handful of chicken and then cut it up into tiny pieces with some onion and a clove of garlic! then add rice until the rice becomes very… thinnish? haha. its soo good <3 i would make it right now but.. too much work :] Honestly, I love eating kimchi and rice for breakfast! haha

dont forget to add salt and pepper! and mix up an egg and pour it on top of the porridge.

*drools* i didnt eat breakfast yet :'[

Whoa. I never really think about how long I should keep banchan. Usually I eat all banchan I find in the fridge. I never get sick though :]

My mom said things like beansprouts and squash should be thrown away within a few days. My mom made squash yesterday so i guess i’d better start eating it >_>

Overall, my theory is- if its Korean, its healthy! And its pickled so its fine to eat if its within a couple weeks? haha
