Hi from Montreal :) I love Maangchi and her cooking shows. I have made a lot of her recipes and they always turn out great. She is a great cooking teacher!

You can search or enter on YouTube, Maangchi Vegetable or Maangchi Beef or Pork or Maangchi Noodles and you will get recipes to make that are not seafood.

You can get the basics of Korean spices and pastes on Amazon and even some noodles and other Korean dry goods. The basics include hot pepper flakes or powder (I buy the coarse powder variety that look more like flakes), hot or red pepper paste, soybean paste and black bean paste. With those you can make many of Maangchi’s non-seafood meals and side dishes. Just look at her videos. You can look for more ingredients on the Cooking and Shopping tabs at the top of the page.

Maangchi really is special. She is like a friend. And she teaches Korean cooking so well. I am a fan too!

You can do it! I have yet to buy Maangchi’s cookbooks but will be soon, both the kindle and hard cover editions. I don’t know about cooking every single dish in the books but I admire your determination to do just that. Happy cooking and Bon Appetit!

Best blender imo is the Vitamix, pricey but worth it and you can get the basic model under $400. If that is too pricey then the Kitchenaid Diamond blender is pretty good. I hear the Ninja blender is pretty good too at less cost. Best food processor is Kitchenaid. I got the 7 cup processor and I find it is just the right size unless you plan to make extra large portions then try the 10 or 14 cup processor.
