Mike,
Thank you for your pleasant message!
Your question “I believe the Korean ones are pronounced ‘koo-numer’. Am I correct Maangchi?”,
My answer, “yes, almost close! Kongnamul”
The recipe for soybean sprouts side dish is shown in the video of “kimchi stew” at
https://www.maangchi.com/recipes/kimchi-chigae-kongnamool
I will update the written recipe soon.
Soybean sprouts are eaten never raw. When you cook it, you will have to close the lid, Otherwise, as you said, it will smell “fishy”. : )
yes, kanpunggie is already included in the list of my upcoming video recipes.
Thank you very much!
MaangchiKeymasterShirlyn,
Andong jjimdak(Andong style of chicken dish)recipe has been requested by other people, too. ok, I will keep it in mind.
Thank you!!!
MaangchiKeymasterhi,
How about using “mung bean sprouts”? I think you can get it any grocery store. If you can’t find it, I recommend using mushrooms. Anybody has a better idea?
MaangchiKeymasterHungryman,
I think it’s hodduk (호떡). right?
I will post the recipe later.
MaangchiKeymastermaggiebamboo,

MaangchiKeymasterHi,
You can check out my “maangchi’s meet up” video. I made the red bean layered rice cake. Yes, it’s called patsiru dduk or just siru dduk. Anybody else wants to talk about this dduk?
Anyway, it’s one of my upcoming recipes! : )
MaangchiKeymasterHi,
I use almost the same recipe as cabbage kimchi paste for ponytail kimchi paste, but I use less hot pepper flakes. Chonggak kimchi (pony tail kimchi) recipe will be posted later.
Thank you.
MaangchiKeymasterunchienne,
I think the soup you mention is sigumchiguk (spinach soup) which is made with spinach, bean paste, and clams or dried anchovies. I will keep your request in mind and post the recipe someday.

meileng,
Thank you for your supportive comment! You make me very happy this morning.
MaangchiKeymasteranthonydesu,
Can you give me more detailed description about the food? I can think about 2 dishes: “daakgalbi” which is made with chicken with vegetables and its taste is very hot and spicy. The other dish is ddukgalbi which is made with beef and its taste is like bulgogi bbq. Anyway, ddakgalbi is already listed in the list of my upcoming cooking recipes. I will post ddukgalbi recipe, too someday in the future.
Thanks a lot!
MaangchiKeymasterhopish,
